Some of the outstanding and imaginative touches to Villa Shines’ appeal are the quirky palm tree situated in the infinity pool, a couple of sun loungers also in the swimming pool resting on some decking, and a jacuzzi style whirlpool to the side of the pool. Fun items to enjoy in a wonderful infinity pool setting while admiring the amazing sea views. A day bed at the other side of the larger than average pool is great for a mid afternoon nap after a few lengths swim and the whole pool terrace has covered dining and seating areas to relax in. Huge glass patio windows allow lots of light and cool breezes to circulate the villa and invite the outside in and the polished floors and high ceilings give the spacious open plan dining kitchen and living areas a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere. The smart kitchen has a breakfast bar and tones of deep blue, along with comfy sofas and elegant dining table and chairs to complete the picture. All five bedrooms have king size beds and ensuite shower or bath rooms, one on the ground floor, three on the first floor and the final penthouse bedroom on the second floor with its own balcony to enjoy those ocean views. A roof top terrace is the ideal spot to watch the sunsets, accompanied by a glass of something cold, and then off to one of the nearby restaurants on foot or grab a taxi or local bus to the harbour front of old Kalan a five minute car ride away.
There to sample some of the famous roof top restaurants, with fabulous cuisines from international to de-constructed Gastro type Turkish dishes, delicious to try them out. Set in a private enclave of villas above Kalamar Bay, there is a popular beach club that has a bathing platform to test the Mediterranean waters; snorkelling a favourite pastime, whilst Pataras Beach is a short drive away, with golden sand and the perfect setting for picnics.
