Perfect, poised and pristine. These are the words that spring to mind at Villa Plumage – Newly built for 2019 and designed by one of Zakynthos’ leading architects, the villa makes sure to maximise its best feature… those enchanting views. Floor to ceiling windows line the front of the villa offering mesmerising panoramas of the Laganas Bay and across to the Vasilikos peninsula.
First impressions are everything and Villa Plumage doesn’t disappoint. The combination of stone cladding and white-washed frames create an awe-inspiring introduction. The rest of the villa appears hidden underneath the luscious landscape with the top storey peeping out from the grass surroundings. It’s truly unique.
Sitting front and centre, it’s hard to miss the star of this show. The large infinity pool. Its glistening blue waters extend out and merge with the sparkling sea waves – this is one view you won’t tire of. Take a refreshing dip and drink in those sea views. And when you’re ready, dry off on one of the elegant sunloungers which surround the pool and soak up the glorious Greek rays.
But such a magnificent pool shouldn’t be limited to the outside now should it? Fling open the patio doors and step onto the glass flooring which covers an inside section of the pool. You’ll feel like you’re walking on water as you move between spaces in this villa. It’s a real centrepiece to the living space.
And the wow factor continues inside. The minimalist and contemporary style contrasts the bare honey stone walls and wooden furniture which add character and charm to this modern masterpiece.
Fancy a break from the sunshine? Chill out on the plush, white corner sofa that’s tucked into the corner of the lounge. It’ll also offer comfortable viewing for the whole family in front of the flat screen TV. And you won’t have to go far for the popcorn!
Crisp, clean and modern, the kitchen has been carefully cut out of the oak wall feature whilst chic dome-shaped light fittings bring a light and airy feel to the dining space. And it gets better…you’ll even have your own bar area! Cocktails anyone? Shake up a traditional Ouzo Sunrise of vodka, ouzo, orange juice, a dash of sugar and some sparkling water! Ah, refreshing!
Cocktail in hand, it’s time to take a look around the rest of this luxury living space. Split across the two floors you’ll find four air conditioned bedrooms with their own ensuite. Brushed wood flooring, refreshing décor and statement artwork set the tone of each. Subtle hints of colour from the linen to the lampshades add a touch of personality to the bedrooms creating the perfect place to rest after a busy day. The villa lends itself perfectly to families and couples holidaying together (especially if rest and relaxation is on the agenda!). Three of the four bedrooms have their own patio doors which look across the bay offering an unrivalled view to be enjoyed each morning as you enjoy breakfast in bed. And why not?
Once you’re ready to seas the day, it might be hard to pull yourself away from this life of luxury but there’s more to explore beyond your villa. Set just a short distance away is the quaint fishing village of Keri, where you’ll find some local tavernas to feast on some authentic Greek cuisines. And just a 10-minute stroll away you’ll find an undisturbed beach, perfect for some fun in the sun with all the family.
But if you’re keen to get back to the villa lifestyle then a quick visit to the local supermarket for some fresh, local produce will be enough for you to rustle up some delicious dishes on your very own barbecue.
Bellies full, an ice-cold beverage in hand and a front-row view seat to the balmy evening sun setting into the distance will have you wishing you could do this every day. But not to worry, there’s always tomorrow…
