Casa Chapinero, approached by a tree-lined drive, is the ultimate in secluded luxury but all within 3km of the nearest town. The six bedroom, five bathroom villa sleeps 11 people and is tucked away on a private estate surrounded by mountainous countryside and olive groves – just the place to retreat to if you’re after real peace and quiet. The imposing entrance hall with its double height ceiling sets the tone for the villa – modern luxury but with traditional touches. It’s decorated with tasteful rustic furniture and has a comfortable yet luxurious feel. There are two sitting rooms – one family room with comfy sofas and flat-screen satellite TV, the other a more formal living room, separated from the hallway by vaulted stone arches with glass panels – so plenty of space for all of your party to relax, either together or separately.
Carrying on through the villa, you’ll find the dining room with a large table and chairs and access to the terrace, and the kitchen. It’s an open plan kitchen, with fully fitted modern units, all the appliances you’ll need and a dining area. There’s a single bedroom on the ground floor too, with a pull out bed and en-suite shower room – great if you’ve got children or teens in your party, or an extra guest arriving for a short stay.
Up on the first floor is the main sleeping accommodation. There’s a master double bedroom, with dressing room, en-suite bathroom and air conditioning; and two further en-suite double bedrooms. There are also two twin bedrooms that share a bathroom. All the bedrooms have wonderful views out across the rural landscape.
Outside there are lovely terraces, either by the house or by the pool – all have outdoor furniture, so just the spot whether you want to lounge on a comfy sofa with a book, or dine al fresco. There’s a BBQ and table and chairs by the pool, so have lunch here in the shade then enjoy a refreshing afternoon dip. The private swimming pool is 100 m2 and is fully fenced – great if you’re travelling with children; there’s an outdoor shower and plenty of sun loungers here too. The extensive gardens are mainly laid to lawn, so let children run and really enjoy themselves while you sit back on one of the terraces, watching on with glass in hand.
